Directory and peers

Compare stocks, ETFs, funds and listed companies

Two companies in the same sector are not always true peers. AInvestor combines several relationships to produce more useful comparisons.

What it provides

A clearer financial workflow

  • Search by ticker, company, instrument, market and sector
  • Compare businesses by economic similarity
  • Move from a comparable to its Snapshot and Gauge
  • Distinguish stocks, American depositary receipts, exchange-traded funds and mutual funds

Beyond a sector code

The comparable-company engine considers the Global Industry Classification Standard, products, technologies, capabilities, investment themes and selected economic relationships. This reduces matches based only on an overly broad category.

A relevance score helps prioritize peers, while the user keeps control of the selection and can return to the original security at any time.

Compare with a consistent framework

Every comparable security uses the same data families. Investors can compare growth, profitability, valuation, risk and sentiment without changing methods between companies.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

How do I launch comparable companies?

Open the directory, activate Comparables, search for the origin ticker and select it to display its peers.

Can an exchange-traded fund be confused with a stock?

Instrument types are identified separately so a company is not presented as a fund or derivative product.
